A gallery of eccentric illustrations and outlandish objects, an installation where books become building materials to be read and taken home, the marvels of the unicorn room and those of 19th century interplanetary novels, a man pursued by an icebreaker on the polar ice-floes... These are some of the surprises of the constellation of exhibitions and installations at the Festival of Philosophy in Modena. The theme of the 2008 event is Imagination, a faculty as indispensable to the artist as it is an essential element for the philosopher in search of new avenues that (cor)respond to eternal questions.
