On the occasion of the 11th International Architecture Bienniale of Venice, the cultural lab aMAZElab and Claudia Zanfi, curator of the Bill Owens Archive, present an evening with the two great masters of international photography, dedicated to the theme of the CITY. For the first time in Italy, the American photographer Bill Owens and the Italian photographer Gabriele Basilico come together to present visual materials from their socio–urban research of the ’70s. This special event is open to the public, and it will feature the two artists conversing on the concept of the city and the historical-cultural context in which several of their main photography cycles were developed. Riccardo Caldura, professor at the Art Academy of Venice, critic of art and photography, interested in the relation between society and territory, will chair the meeting.
