Tuesday, July 31st at 5.30 pm in the Bayles Room of the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown, the photographer Mariana Cook will present Stone Walls: Personal Boundaries, her last book edited by Damiani.
The photographer conceived the project of Stone Walls: Personal Boundaries at her Chilmark home, when fifty-six cows strayed through a crumbling section of the stone wall she shares with her neighbor. From this inspiration, Cook embarked on an eight-year journey, travelling from New England to the American south, Britain, Ireland, the Mediterranean and Peru in pursuit of stone walls.
